The author works in the mortgage finance industry and manages lines of credit among mortgage banks. GSEs such as Freddie and Fannie play a central role in this industry. For years, these entities benefited from an implied guarantee from the federal government. This implicit guarantee became explicit during 2008-2009 as taxpayers watched.
I hold a Masters in International Business from the Grenoble Graduate School of Business in Grenoble, France. Ethics in business has always fascinated me. I pursued a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship for my work there and focused my Master’s thesis on the subject of insider trading ahead of accounting restatements. Additionally, I have a Masters in Accounting from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN as well as a Bachelors in International Studies and Political Science.
